Classical Music Recomendations

Posted by sarias Jun. 15, 2009 @ 1:28 PM EDT

So I have been wanting to do a blog for a long time but never have because i didn't know what to write about, well i decided to write abou what i know best which is music and films, so every week i will post a new blog recomending a list of movies some will be short talking about 1 or 2 things describing them and reviewing them where others will have a long list of things you should listen to. Since most of my portal entries are in the classical section i thought i would start out with classical music

So Have you ever tried to think of your favorite song of all time. I mean of all time not just that song you heard on the radio and thought was catchy i mean you favorite of all time. I mean for me its kinda like how could i ever pick just one song which is why i categorize my favorite music

Favorite Classical Music for eras

Baroque - Sonata No.3 - G.F Handel
Classical - Eine kleine Nachtmusik - W.A. Mozart
Romantic - Etude No.3 - F. Chopin
Impressionistic - Clair De Lune - Claude Debussay
Early Modern American - Rapsody In Blue
Early Modern Russian - The Firebird - Igor Stavisnky
Early Modern - The Planet -Gustov Holst

And as I make this List I realize doing stuff in eras is hard i mean im completly forget so much i mean if i did composer it would behard but not as hard as this

Lets just get rid of Baroque and classical cause honestly im not a huge fan classical is ok and i mean
Bachs Invention No2 and so is Vivaldi's 4 Seasons is really good and mozart wrote some good stuff like Don Giovonni is good but lets face it Romantic is so much better

Beetovens 5th and 3rd are really powerful listen to them and i mean really listen to them plus moonlight sonata is really good

ok i know put Etude No.3 (Triestesse) but lets look at Chopin His First Nocturne and his 20th Nocturne are Top Notch As well as Prelues 4 and 7 Etude 12 (Revolutionary) are Awesome Polonaise Fantasie and Polonaise 6 (Heroique)

Dvorak's New World is amazing

Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet and 1812 Ovetures are amazing i mean no 2 songs are more heard then these 2 and by people who arn't classical music buffs for those who dont know Romeo and Juliet thats the ever so famous tv song you hear when a guy and girl fall in love (ussually when they kiss) and 1812 oveture can be seen in movies such as V for Vedetta and so many more

Holst - well yah the planets, but his 2nd Suite is also really good

Rossini - William tell oveture aka the horse racing theme to those who dont know Rossini

Pucinni - Pines of Rome is Awesome as well if you listen to it and think of what the song is about also Nesun Dorma is also realy good listen to Paul Potts sing it and you get goose bumps

ok this is pushing classical a bit but for Greshwin - Someone to watch over me one of my favorites watch Mr Hollands Opus its a powerful movie

Frank Tichelli - Shennendoah, Vesuvias, Portrait of a Cloun Amazing Grace to think this is an american Comoser who wrote 2 songs that people think came out of nowhere but still loved today

There so much more i could do but im gonna stick with this

Comming Next is My Film Music One
