have i met the next Hans Zimmer

:) this is really good you definitely need to go into film music this is perfect for a movie maby tex/mex or something of that sort its always refreshing to hear scoring thats not orchestral i mean dont get me wrong i love orchestral scoring but is nice every once and awhile

Urbanus responds:

Thanks! And of course if you like it, you're more than welcome to use it in whatever flash production you're working on. As for going into the film music industry, I'm waiting for John Williams to retire/die so that I can stand a better chance.

This is so pretty

this sounds kinda lord of the ringsish like it works very well i mean the melody is simple but not its got the illusion that its not a lot but its so much more then that keep it up

wyldfyre1 responds:

its still by far a work in progress. Hopefully it'll get finished hah. Seems my time is limited these days. Thanks for the review!

wow this is good

i was ready to stop looking at this page when i saw the score then i listened to this. This is like a professional level job. This is what movie scores are supposed to sound like for underscoring good job

krssvr responds:

thanks for the review

your an amazing musician ive never listened to a musician who is still alive that has influenced me as much as you your music is amazing me and touches me a way i thought wasn't possible never stop writing your one of the good ones when the wind blows is def my favorite but still amazing :D

AlexSandford responds:

Aw, thanks Sarias. Keep listening. Maybe I'll post something new one of these days.

nice

as far as audio quality goes you did a great job and as far as taking an exsisting song and elaberating on it to make it your own you did a great job. and again everything you set out to do you did but i almost think that what is missing is that sense of originality you made it your own but at the same time you didn't so my advice would be to try to write a similar song but make it your song influenced by somthing in your own life or for somthing such as a game.
i wish you good luck for the future and hope your succesful. you are talented just need to think more out of the box. and also remember this is constructive criticism not me disliking your song

mattrmunson responds:

Hey what's up. Thanx for the review, and sorry for taking so long to reply. I definitely hear what you are saying about originality. I did rely on the original song for a lot in terms of overall structure and feel. One thing that made it easy to emulate the original was using the same scale. Still though, I feel that I added some elements that weren't present in the original, specifically the rock drumming and a more aggressive/metal feel. But you are right, it is more of a tribute to the original than a fully legitimate song.

Anyways, iv got lots of old original material that Iv been meaning to upload once I get around to resampling it at the proper sample rate.

Peace

this is what it is about

wow this is awesome. Im still working on mine. Good luck you certainly have a chance. We piano balads gotta stick together

SolusLunes responds:

Damn right. :D

I like this

Ok so i hear waht you mean listen to my town theme it souns like the begining of this :D lol I really like this song middle to end i think the begining could use some work just cuase i dont hear much statement its supposed to be like an intro it hears but im felt like i wish there was more comming from it, you end up doing somthing beautiful around 3:00 and the song kept my interested from there on, work just a little bit on the begining mostly from 0:00-1:00 after that its a better then becomming a great song agter 3:00

Dude09 responds:

thank you for such a great review. lol one of the things i wanted to do was get people bored then shocked at about 3:00 but yeah i do admit it is a bit too boring. i'm glad you liked the second half at least :) thanks again for commenting

I very much enjoyed this

has to be one of the hardest best played piano duets ive heard on this site since i got here, i think you did an amazing job good job with that i think you are an awesome writer good job good luck

shadow6nothing9 responds:

It is hard, believe me. Try playing with two people :P my cousin could barely keep up with me

i love it

this is somthing that Nobou uematsu or Yoko Shimomura would write for one of their games it has that game happiness where you know theres more there then meets the eye, it sounds like a mixure of tifas theme and somthing in the opening of kingdom hearts 2 when they are in twilight town very good job keep up the work

BlazingDragon responds:

It is an absolute honor, but I don't think I am worthy of that comparison. Nobuo Uematsu is a composer whom I greatly admire. :D It is very intriguing that you should mention Tifa's Theme, as this has two chords which loosly borrow from that theme. You have a good ear, my friend!

Thank you for the flattering review.
